Peppy Nights

Is it the realization that espresso makes you jump into the productive person your always striving to be the very thing that makes a coffee addict just that - addicted to coffee?

Oh my, I hope not... But if it is, at least I'll be productive :)

Pop Pop Pop!

Cake pops. Where have you been all my life?

In recent days my dad's been bringing home yummy food from luncheons at work and such. One of these happened to be cake pops (cheesecake pops, to be exact). I'm so fascinated by the incredibly cute and creative idea i might just have to buy this book to satisfy my craving.
Apparently there's this huge world of pops i never knew about. Pie pops, mini ice pops, cake pops, cheesecake pops, macaroon pops, brownie pops, cookie pops, ice cream pops, it seems like you can make anything in pop form! Oh man, I'm feeling the sugar-induced stomach ache already..
I'm deciding to make attempt to cook up a batch of cheesecake pop's from Bakerella's recipe here. Once i get my hands on some chocolate candy coating, that is. The great thing about her recipe is you don't even have to make a cheesecake, you can just buy one and scoop out the little rounds with a miniature ice cream scooper! Brilliant! Not to mention less time consuming, as i am working on being more industrious.

And I might just have to get these cute headphones to go along with any cupcake pops I make!

A Food Addict Rambling

So yesterday while roaming about in Whole Foods, i was passing by their (wonderful) cheese section and noticed that they finally had the Colston Bassett Stilton back in stock! SO HAPPY!
Oh how i missed this melt-in-your-mouth blue cheese. Its full of flavor, very strong and rich without being too "sharp and overpowering." And its from Neals Yard Dairy no less! "Farm cheese from the British Isles." I would love to visit one of their shops some day, sounds like a dream I'd never want to wake up from.

Anyways, i ended up not only buying lunch but also a sliced loaf of freshly baked sweet batard, and a jar of croatian Organic Adriatic Fig Spread! I absolutely adore this fig spread, just the right amount of sweet to go with my cheese and toasty bread. I wonder where the nearest place to pick figs would be...

Nice to see you again

Well, it's been about four years now since my last blog post so I thought it was about time for an update. So many things can happen in four years. Some good, some bad. Some I'd rather not talk about and some will likely come up in future posts.

I'm taking a Human Anatomy class at CaƱada College. Very interesting class. Who knew you had around 16 little landmarks in a single thoracic vertebrae?
We started touching on the GI tract today in Lecture. Can't wait to start learning about it in Lab so I can finally meet the Cadavers(aka dead human bodies). Its amazing how they can preserve all the hair and nails and things.

Adrian and Luis got baptised a few weeks ago! Adrian was so excited to have the privilege of opening the door for everyone at the KH, but he "can't wait to do the microphones" lol.

Well, off to the meeting now. Life never fails to move on.

Janis Joplin's Piece of My Heart stuck in my head.

just some random stuff

I officially have a new baby sister =). She is the cutest thing in the world with her humongo blue eyes and her tiny mouth with the little pink tongue that she sticks out once in a while. Her name is Leena Isabella James. She is sooo tiny and according to my parents I was twice the size of her. Hehe. And Thanks to her I havn't really done any schoolwork in the past week, there's soo much taking care of to do with a baby. But i'm trying to catch up with everyday life. Leena unfortunately has a whole bunch of heart problems. Today at the cardiologist the doctor explained all these things that were wrong with her. I feel really bad for her, she just looks so innocent and when i have her in my arms and you can't even tell anythings wrong.

speaking of the cardiologist, when i was in the waiting room my mom stepped out for a second and the reseptionist needed some papers filled out and she tells me "these are for the mom to fill out, are you the mom?" and i just think ummm does it look like i just had a baby?!?! don't you think i'm a little young for that?! geeze. and that's not the first time that's happened to me, once when i was getting an x-ray of my leg or something the lady that was taking the x-ray first asked me if I was pregnent, and when i said no she asked if there was any way i could be pregnent. i think that was the most awkward question i've been asked.
I went to my Area championship swim meet last weekend. I did pretty good....the first day anyway. I accidently missed one of my events but then I droped 3 seconds on my 100 Free so i made up for it, I went a 1:03.7, which was awesome i actually feel like fast! and i totally like beat like everyone else in my heat. I better get a ribbon hehe. but then the second day was all crappy cause well it started to rain when we were warming up and then it was like super super windy there was like things flying all over the place and i was freezing!, i've never shivered so much in my life.
humm i think i might have an ear infection. hasta luego!
